Firstly, I really need to apologise for the severe lack of blogging recently. I had been really good and in a routine of blogging every morning and then shooting in the afternoon, but there have been many things happening at George Fairbairn Photography recently and I just haven’t had the time. I do promise to get back on the ball though!!
Anyways, onto one of my more recent, and favourite commissions as a fashion photographer. Some of you may know who Intruder Label are…I have done a lot of work for them on their record label side of things with promo shoots for AUX Innocent and promo shoots for Dying Breeds. What some of you might not know though is that they also have a separate clothing label with some absolutely fantastic designs. This is what my latest fashion photographer commission was for. When I was given the brief for this shoot I was told that we really just wanted to highlight the t-shirts with a model and a plain and simple background. Easy enough, but I wanted to give them a little more so when we did the shoot I did the standard shot, then a close up shot of the t-shirt being worn, and then two different shots with the model wearing a jacket or a hoodie….just to show what the shirts look like in a “real” situation. I felt that this will give the potential customers a little more insight into the shirts and give them more of a reason to buy.
Onto the shoot itself. We did the shoot in a little studio outside of Cambridge. Cambridge was a pretty easy location as Intruder Label and our model are both based in Norwich, but with Intruder Label expanding rapidly into London and me being based outside of Cambridge we thought it would work perfectly. I set up the shots using a giant white muslin (I really wanted paper, but sadly had run out). I didn’t want the background to be white though as a lot of the shirts we were photographing were white themselves and this makes things a little harder on the eye…so I didn’t light the background at all and exposed it to be grey…giving a nice, clean, and simple background to showcase the shirts. Afterall, that is what fashion photography is all about. What I will do is first just give you all of the different designs that I shot as a fashion photographer and then give you some of the “extra” shots we did at the end. Enjoy!

So there you have the basic fashion photography photos that highlight the different t-shirts that Intruder Label currently have to offer. I say currently because I know there are more designs to come soon! As you can see, these are all pretty basic, focused on the garment as much as possible while still having our model look good. I aimed to have him a little different in every shot, just to break up everything. We also did some fashion photography shots showing the shirts in-situ so to speak and here are a few of those.

So there you have the latest offerings from Intruder Label, and images from my latest fashion photographer commission. We have some advertising images that we did on the same day as well…but that’ll be in a separate post once those are all done…so keep you eyes peeled for that!
Everyone really should check out the shirts on the Intruder Label store site here, and while you are there be sure to check out the bands on the Intruder Records roster…you won’t be disappointed!!
If you have a clothing line and would like images to showcase your designs, be sure to get in touch and we will work with you to discuss the brief and provide you with a free, no obligation quote. Any comments or questions, please feel free to leave comments below!!
